Appearance: Rien stands at 5 feet 10 inches and 150 pounds with a fit and athletic body to complement his job and upbringing. He carries a heedful of blonde hair, without a shimmer in the winter sun and stays well kept in terms of being neat. His eyes burn a light golden hue, similar to his sister who is a full Elenor. He is light skinned with a tint of apricot. It’s fairly unnoticeable, however if he was compared to his sister, he’d have a noticeably lighter skin tone and if he was compared to his father, who is human, he’d have a slightly darker skin tone. His skin is smooth due to his Elenor blood, however don’t let his fair-skin fool you as he is quite deadly when he is underestimated.

His ears are typical of a human male. Typically, an Elenor is easily classified because of his ears, however because of the human gene being dominant in terms of ear shape, he retains human ears over the Elenor ears which is the race’s most defining feature.

He usually wears a tan overcoat to cover his body along with thermal clothing to keep himself warm in the arctic He dresses pretty blandly, but if you’re a woman, I’d be careful around this man. He may not look like much when he’s outside, dressed for the cold, but when he’s in the tavern with you and he sits next to you, his charm and boldness will have you going to bed with him in a few minutes. He’s a handsome devil with charm to match. This is probably due to his Elenor looks. Girls just can’t seem to resist him.


Personality: Rien has a pretty good sense of justice and takes care of those in need. Often times he’s seen helping the needy and the poor. In addition to that, he is seen to flirt with any woman that he sees is beautiful. If a woman cries, he comes to her aid immediately as it is his mantra to never let a woman cry. He cares for his mother a lot, and it seems that most of the woman he sleeps around with have no problem with him sleeping around. They know he’s not into a committed relationship, but if the right girl comes along, that may very well change.

He keeps a margin of error whenever he goes out on an adventure or a job, so he rarely is caught, even if he fails at the task. He makes sure that his identity is always hidden and that if in an event his plan does not work, he has time and space to maneuver to a safe escape plan. He’s methodical, but he doesn’t always follow the laws.

History: Rien was born in 9731 of Cycle 2 to a Human Man and Elenor Woman. His father’s name is Thorien Muse and his mother’s name is Tadali Arelas. Tadali had seen the human man at a trading port and she found favor in his eyes. Likewise, she wished to explore the race of which her kind hated very much. Thorien had done quick work with Tadali who had been seduced, however she was not as easy as most of the women that Thorien had wooed. It had taken days upon days for him to successfully woo the woman, but he eventually got the girl.

Without his knowledge, however, Tadali had become pregnant with Rien. She had kept the secret from him initially to figure out how she would sort this out. She had numbered the days before Rien was born and had decided in the third week to finally tell Thorien. Thorien was shocked but he shrugged and said that he would provide care for the child and that was it. Thorien wasn’t rich, however he was well off enough that he could support a child that was partially his responsibility. He wasn’t a committed father, mainly because all he wanted was to fool around and keep on doing his own thing. He hated being tied down to one place, and so he opted to just pay out Tadali.

During this time, it was thought that she was with an Elenor child, however little did they know that she carried a human within her womb. 9 months later, Rien was born to Tadali and she was forced into exile by the Elenor due to her disrespecting the Elenor tradition and breeding with a human. Sentenced to exile with her son, Tadali was able to keep Elaninde, her daughter, with her father within Merdana, while she had been exiled to the nearest human city, Pa’lorn. They were able to find housing easily, as Thorien had given enough wages monthly for them to live off of.

This was when Tadali found work. Her education as Ram Staple made her a viable hire for merecenary work, undertaking both small jobs which required her to use enhancing magic to help someone with their equipment in repairs or temporary enchantments or long term work like becoming a body guard.

Through the years, she was unable to keep a close eye on Rien. This allowed Rien to develop a hobby and habit that was akin to his father’s. He was really good at stealing and getting away with it when he was caught. He’d simply use his silver tongue to get himself out of any trouble. His ability to pickpocket someone had started with his peers, taking what little to no money they had, and then moving on to adults, taking sacks and sacks of coins in which he’d spend quickly.

It wasn’t until he began to see that the people he was stealing with were suffering even more when he stole their hard earned goods. He decided to switch targets as he went into the richer districts and began gaining loot from there. It was a challenge at first, as the guards were suspicious of any from the lower districts, but he soon learned how to adapt. He was able to take a nice set of clothes off of a young boy and he began posing as a rich boy. He split the take amongst the poor in the lowest district, buying food and drink for them.

As an adult, Rien has much to learn about the world, but his nature has not changed. He has added a few hobbies such as Archery, dueling, and athleticism and acrobatics. For one who was a thief, he had to know how to protect himself in the case of a brawl and had to know the best ways of escape, which meant using the roof when necessary.

During his time in the Thieves' Guild, he was able to learn the skill to Phase. It is a rare ability to be able to use, however through sheer will power and talent, Rien was able to learn the basics of Phasing and has decided that he will attempt to use it for the benefit of others, usually stealing from those he felt did not deserve their wealth.
