NPC Templates

The current templates are for NPC characters, which can be used by a number of different people.

One must always remember the three rules of NPCs.
  • 1. This is an RPG of fleshing and working. As such, your NPCs are just as much characters as your PCs. Treat them as such, and not just disposable cannon fodder to show how strong/weak your character is. Make sure you keep yourself in line. All of the rules that encompass the regular players encompass the NPCs. Powerplaying, godmodding, etc.

  • 2. When you are allowed to use an NPC created by another character, make sure that you never deviate from their modus operandi. If an NPC is a brave, noble knight in servitude of the ruling power of Spera; don't make them a sniveling coward in your wake just because your character may be strong.

  • 3. No one is allowed to control an NPC character that has already been used in the RP by someone else unless they have permission to. You may also not bring in any NPC unless it makes sense; no Elenor ambassador will be visiting a Draconean Lord for tea. That's, for a lack of better words, stupid and unrealistic. Ask a staff member whether it makes sense or not, or simply ask the thread creator.

When posting a Shared NPC profile, make sure to put [SH-N] in your thread title.

Shared NPC

RESTRICTIONS
  • You are not allowed to create any type of deity or otherwise ascended being.
  • You are not allowed to create any type of character that embodies any large role in the government (such as a Senator, Judge, or Emperor/Empress).
  • You are not allowed to create any character that has fighting ability unless they have a creature profile along with them. Look to this board for the creature's portion.

Name
What is the name of this NPC? Your name is not allowed to be the existing name of any character located within the game.

Gender
What is the gender of this character? Unlike PCs, these NPCs are allowed to be anything of your volition. However, while we are open-minded; do not put something that is directly unsettling/offensive. This will result in immediate banning for you.

Race
What is the race of this character? You may only choose from the existing ones.

Age
What is the age of this character. If they transcend the age limits, you must give a very viable explanation as to why. Otherwise, we will not allow it.

Height
What is the height of this character. Unlike PCs, these characters are allowed to be any height of your volition.

Weight
What is the weight of this character. Unlike PCs, these characters are allowed to be any height of your volition.

Appearance
What is the basic appearance of the NPC? One paragraph and up should suffice, with four to six sentences each. Make sure you follow the general rule of appearance when dealing with your character.

Basic Information
What is the basic information of this NPC? This refers to their history and personality, which must be at least two paragraphs, with four sentences each. Make sure to be specific and detailed with these as humanly possible. You'll want to stay in character at all times.

Combatant
Is this NPC a combatant. If "Yes" is put in this field, they must have an accompanying Creature Profile. If they do not, you must input this before putting in the Creature Profile. If it is found that a battle has been initiated, before any profile for their combat skill has been released and updated - the timestamps will show - then the NPC will be killed by the person attacking them.

Post their creature profile(s) under the original post. If the Creature Profile is not finished, the character will not be accepted. If the character is planning to display their power at a later time - in example, in a large battle/war - make sure that you create the profile before their descent into warfare, and leave in this field "will be made at a later date". Go to the Creature Section for information on the creatures.

Character Rights
Put a list of usernames here, all of whom are capable of controlling the character. If it is available to anyone, simply put "Universal".

Personalized/Specialized NPC Template

The current templates are for personalized and specialized NPC characters. These characters are separated by their roles:
  • Personalized: NPCs that are played only by a singular user for that singular user's purpose. They are never usually directly correlated with the plot of the game, and are there to mostly assist in the fleshing of user-created characters.

  • Specialized: NPCs that are specialized in a certain, game-important role. These roles differ in the fact that many of them are very important, like being the leader of an organization or something to this effect. Only staff members may create and control these characters.

When posting a Personalized NPC profile, make sure to put [PR-N] in your thread title. When posting a Specialized NPC profile, make sure to put [SP-N] in your thread title.
